Unlimited Run
3 lives · endless prompts · replay as often as you like
What Krillion Unlimited is
The daily dive gives you seven prompts and makes you wait a day for the next set. Krillion Unlimited removes the waiting: it is the same rare-answer trivia, with the same open prompts and the same editor-graded rarity tiers, dealt continuously for as long as your 3 lives last. When a run ends, a new one starts on your next click. It is the mode you play when the daily is done and your brain still wants to dig.
Unlimited is also the lower-pressure way to learn the game. On the daily dive, a blank prompt box and a 25-second clock can push new players into the safest, shallowest answers. In Unlimited, a wrong guess costs nothing at all — only a prompt that ends with no accepted answer costs a life — so it is the natural place to experiment with stranger answers, learn where the depth actually is, and find out which of your “too clever” ideas are common knowledge and which are genuine Deep Cuts.
How an Unlimited round works
- A run starts with 3 lives and deals one open prompt at a time — no fixed count, no daily cap.
- Each prompt gives you 25 seconds and one typing box. Submit as many attempts as you fit inside the clock.
- A rejected answer — one not in our answer bank — costs nothing. Keep typing; the clock is still running.
- The moment an answer is accepted, its rarity tier decides your points for that prompt, and the next prompt is dealt.
- A prompt that ends with no accepted answer — skipped, timed out, or nothing accepted — scores 0 and costs one life.
- When the third life is gone the run ends, your score and depth are totaled, and you can start another run immediately.
Runs are scored exactly like the daily dive: the sum of your rarity points, with every point equal to ten meters of dive depth. There is no leaderboard and no account — your best runs live on your device, and the spoiler-free result card is how you compare with friends.
How scoring works in Unlimited
Every accepted answer lands in one of six rarity tiers, from the answers everybody thinks of first to the ones almost nobody reaches. Rarity grades are set by our editors when a prompt is written — they are not live player statistics — so a tier means the same thing on run one and run one hundred:
| Tier | Points | What lands here |
|---|---|---|
| Plankton | 10 | The first answer everyone thinks of — floating right on the surface |
| Too Clever | 15 | Answers that feel clever but are really everyone’s second thought |
| Schooler | 30 | Solid mid-depth knowledge; you know the category beyond the famous |
| Rare | 60 | Genuinely uncommon answers — most players never type these |
| Deep Cut | 85 | Deep specialist knowledge; hearing one is a small event |
| One in a Krillion | 100 | The rarest accepted answers in the bank — a perfect find |
In practice the tier table is the whole strategy of the game. A Plankton answer always keeps you alive but barely moves your score; a One in a Krillion answer can single-handedly double a run. Choosing how deep to reach with 25 seconds on the clock — and two lives still in reserve — is the decision Unlimited asks you to make over and over.
Unlimited vs the daily dive
The two modes share a question bank and a scoring system, and nothing else. Your daily streak is never touched by an Unlimited run, and your Unlimited lives have nothing to do with the daily's one-shot seven prompts:
| Daily dive | Krillion Unlimited | |
|---|---|---|
| How often | Once a day, fixed 7 prompts | As many runs as you like |
| Lives | None — a zero just scores 0 | 3; a zero-score prompt costs one |
| Prompts | Same for everyone that day | Drawn at random from the bank |
| Streak | Counts only the daily dive | Never touches your streak |
| Best for | The daily ritual and comparing scores | Practice, long sessions, hunting rare answers |
How to share your result
When a run ends you get a spoiler-free result card: your score, your depth in meters, the rarity tier of your single deepest answer, and this page's address. It never contains prompt text or your actual answers, so posting it in a group chat or replying to a friend costs nobody their game. If you are on a daily streak, the card carries the streak count too — bragging rights included, spoilers excluded. Copy it with one tap from the end-of-run screen.
Krillion Unlimited FAQ
What is Krillion Unlimited?
Krillion Unlimited is an endless version of the Krillion rare-answer trivia game. Instead of seven fixed prompts once a day, it deals you a continuous run of open trivia prompts, scored the same way: the rarer your valid answer, the higher it scores. Free, in the browser, no account.
Is Krillion Unlimited free?
Yes. Krillion Unlimited is free to play, with no account and no download. Every mode on krilliondle.com is open to everyone — you never pay to keep playing.
How many prompts are in one round?
A run starts with 3 lives and deals prompts one at a time, 25 seconds each, one answer per prompt. A rejected answer costs you nothing — keep trying until the clock runs out. A prompt only scores zero, and costs a life, when it ends with no accepted answer: skipped, timed out, or nothing accepted. You keep going until your 3 lives are gone — no fixed prompt count, no daily cap.
Do I need an account to play?
No. Nothing is gated behind a sign-up; your run starts the moment the page loads. Your scores are kept in your own browser, which is also why there is no login to lose.
Does Unlimited affect my daily streak?
No. Unlimited and the daily dive are separate. Your streak is counted by the daily puzzle you submit — playing Unlimited does not extend it, reset it, or overwrite it.
Where do the prompts come from? Will I see the same prompt twice?
Prompts come from our own curated question bank, written by our editors and grouped into categories such as geography, sports, music and movies. A run draws from the whole bank, so you will meet a prompt again eventually — finding a rarer answer the second time round is part of the game. Rarity grades are set by our editors, not live player statistics.
How do I share my result with a friend?
Every finished run gives you a spoiler-free result card to copy and share — your score, your depth, and the rarity grade of your best answer. Never the prompt text or your answers, so you cannot spoil anyone's day.
Can I play Krillion Unlimited with a friend?
Not yet. Unlimited is currently solo. Rooms and 1v1 are on the roadmap; until then the result card is the way to compare runs with a friend.
Is this the official Krillion game?
No. Krilliondle is an independent fan-made tribute: our own game implementation and our own curated question bank, not affiliated with krillion.io. If you want the original daily game, play it at krillion.io — we link to it because we play it too.
